Challenge # 73

Check out the tutorial
(GREAT tutorial Pat)

Oh this was a bit of a challenge for me, but I did it...
I used some Tim Holtz inks to make this card...
I really like it, now that I look back on it...
what do you think?

I used a new stamp from the
It's definitely a
'got ta have that stamp set' kind of stamp
so check it and other 'got ta have that stamp set' stamps at
Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a Heinrich Co
there are tons of newer stamps that are amazing...
AND well worth it...
I also used the

So now make a two tone resist card and join the challenge
at Challenge # 73...

Just a little reminder,
you do not have to use a MFPaHc stamp...
but if you do your card is with 2 entries...
so head on over and join the fun...
you can also find some great inspiration from
other design team members...
Great job ladies.
I am so lucky to work with such a great and talented design team...

Ok so...

How was your Halloween yesterday?
my youngest daughter was a Volley Ball Zombie

She did a great job at her make up,
what do you think?

Yep she did the make up all by herself!!!

Well, that's about it...
So for now...

Boo To You...Blog Hop

Jearise from Lorby's World is our hostess for this hop
so please make sure you start with her blog
where she has some treats but no tricks for this Boo to You hop.
Trick or Treat.
Smell my feet.
Give me something good to eat...
Tonight we celebrate Halloween with porch lights on and ghost and goblins who come a knockin'.
This hop is to celebrate all that is fun and scary come Halloween night
so join our crafters who have conjured up some Halloween fright or laughter as it well may be.
Here is your broom for the ride through this hop....
These are some goodies I have prepared for my little Trick or Treaters tonight...

This darling little Calderon is from a SVGCuts collection from last year... Party on Elm Street

Each of the candies are decorated...the suckers have googly eyes...
the candy bars have wrappers...
oh, how fun this was to take to work and show off...but they ate most of it...so I had to make more...
I love the added ribbon from Stampin' Up and the Epiphany embellishment with the spider,
oh how I hate spiders...

This next project is a wall hanging I put together...
I had every intention in hanging it in my entryway ..but it never made it there...lol...
so I will share it with you all...

I used a bunch of files to put the little witch together... if you look you can see a witches hat a the top and her legs hanging out the bottom... I have some of my very own original files along with some SVGcuts files and Silhouette America online store files...
This was a fun wall hanging to put together... the picture does it NO justice...
Thank you for ringing my doorbell and now continue to CallyAnn's blog.
If you stumbled upon my blog tonight and wish to begin the hop…start with Lorby’s World

Should you get lost out there…here is a list of the hop…so sit back and check out the Tricks or Treats we have for you...

Use Chipboard

Good Monday Morning to you...

It's time for a new challenge over at
FOSTV

so for this weeks inspiration I created this cute little card
Be sure to check out the rest of the team, they have some pretty awesome inspiration too...
'Be Witched'

so this card uses chipboard by starting the words
'BeWitched'
I used my Cameo to cut the other parts of the words...and made a mate for those letters...
added some ribbon from the stash
the Jack-o-Lantern is from
SVGCuts Midnight Jamboree SVG Kit
Stamped image that is fussy cut is from
Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co mini stamp set
AC card stock for the card base and DCWV paper stack for the matted front...

Just as cute as it can be...
I am so glad it's October...
Now I can really 'get' into the Halloween Decorating

The "Boo!" stamp is by Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich co

I am not sure exactly what this card truly is but I think it's pretty cute...
I have asked a few peps what they think it is...
well my made it too look like a mummy
but others think it looks like a little peeper behind a wall...
lol its cute no matter what they say...

Successful Workshop Yesterday....

OMG, wow
that's about what I have to say about yesterdays workshop

we have a local Stampin' Up Rep that does a monthly workshop
We pay $10 and get to make 2 of each 4 cards
Yesterday was so much fun
as I was the hostess of the mostest...lol...
No really I was just there to have a good time
I did not think many peps would buy
as it's not yet time to buy for those Christmas cards...

so anyway I made a few of the
Witches Hats and Broom Sticks

That is a FREE SVG file over at
Mary and Leo ... you have done a great job ...
as I always say
this is wonderful...
The sentiments are by
Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Co
they have a few new stamps to look forward too...so keep your eyes open for those projects...

Here are some more pictures of the hats and brooms that I made

I made 15 hats and 12 broom sticks...

Are they not just the cutest...they have a dum dum sucker in the middle
of each the Witches hat and the broom stick...
the hat is an SVG file and must be cut using an electronic
die cut machine but the broom sticks are just an easy peasy
thing to put together...a little time and some patience you too
can have some broom sticks to give those special trick or treaters

To make the broom sticks take the crepe paper streamer stuff
the roll, you know what I am talking about right...
OK, then cut a length of about 12 inches off
at about every 1/8 inch cut a slit almost to the end,
you will learn by trial and error what works best for your broom
but then when you have it all 'frayed' for a better word then
tape or glue one end with the solid end just above the suckers top,
not the end of the stick, just above the sucker with the 'frade' end down
I used dum dum suckers cuz they are cheap and you get tons
but this would work for just about any sucker...
start wrapping...you want to keep it kind of loose again trial and error
then when all wrapped up tape the end closed to itself...
straighten the broom stuff down and tie a ribbon, twine, or
like I did a piece of yarn to look like the broom
add a tag with a sentiment or just leave it plain,
I also added a piece of ribbon to the top of the sucker/broom
and that was cute too...it was the ribbon that said
'Happy Halloween'
just taped to the other end of the sucker...

Well back to my story about the workshop, heehee
at the end of the workshop the hostess, just like hosting a party gets
goodies...well I got a goodie bag before the party began
from the Rep and boy was it full of fun stuff too...
but anyway again not thinking much of the money part
I knew I had a few items of interest but maybe only be able
to get a few cuz the party would not get much...
well I was WRONG
those peps spent alot of money...
alot to the point I got
2 items at half off
and $80 of Hostess money...
so my few items turned into EVERYTHING
I wanted and even more...I was banging my head
trying to wrap up the workshop and pick my goodies...
so anyway I just wanted to say thanks to all the
great people that made it to the workshop
and to buying what supplies you needed.
What a fun surprise that was...
I was told to plan for about 10 peps
and there were 15 that showed up

oh wow long story...
Thanks for the GREAT workshop Bernice
your awesome too...
and thank you to my dear friend Linda for
driving 1 1/2 hours to come to my party...you rock...
Here are the cards/projects we made at the workshop...
Great job Bernice to for wonderful ideas you give us each month...

What a fun day...
Well I will see you all tomorrow with a new
Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich co Project...
