Way Too Long...

So So Sorry,

it's been like forever since my last post...

I know right...

well here is a little something for you

 to see what I have been so busy with and can't post to my blog...heehee

I checked out the  SVGCuts forum and found that ATC swaps are still alive and well

so I know I loved participating in the past so I thought it might get my mojo back

if I join this next swap...

Valentines Day Theme

Here is what I made to send to all my peps...

I made an envelope for each card...using my envelop punch board

I got for Christmas from my son...

there were enough people to swap with, 

(thanks to our coordinator UNIKMO, she has really done a great job)

we had 3 groups to trade with...I was on 1 of the 3

and the group I was with was international trading... :) 

oh I can hardly wait to see all the fun ATC's we get...

I have received a few so far...and mine were sent out over the weekend...

well just a little something to say 'Hi'...I miss you bunches...

but I am getting my crafty mojo back

doing things I love most...

2013 Navajo County Fair projects...

Can you guess what I have been busy with?

 

That's right...

SVGCuts has done it again...

I used the Summer Street Carnival SVG Kit & the Happy Trails SVG Kit

to make these projects

 

Here is a picture of the projects before it went to the county fair...

all the details I added...

I really like how it turned out...

I made some rosettes using a Lori Whitlock file that can be found

at the Silhouette America Online Store...

(you can also get this file on her website, in .svg format)

Now I entered the boot in a western theme cowboy 'Booty full Boot' category...

it's a category that is open to all age participants to decorate a western boot...

I did not think of adding any extra to this boot...

as it was a VERY last late entry in to the fair...

I was not going to enter it, but I wanted more projects to enter...

and I did not plan on it being in the category, I could not enter both projects

in the same category/class...

 

so I never in a million years thought it would win a ribbon...

 

 

let alone a 1st place~ blue ribbon...

OMG it was a hit with the judges...

 

Next I added the Farris Wheel from the Summer Street Carnival SVGCuts kit

 

Again a late entry...

I have not doing much crafting lately...

kind of burned out right now...

so my darling son said I needed to get 'back' into making things

I love most

"3D paper crafting'...

 

so a few weeks ago I started this project...

and finished it just in time...thank you Alex

So you ask

"how did it do"

 

well take a look at the wonderful ribbons I earned

with this project...

 

 

I know Right...crazy...

I saw the blue ribbon and was so excited...

than the HUGE purple ribbon...

(I almost started to cry)

I could not tell if it was

Best of Show or Best of Class...

so I asked one of the judges there at the fair...

 OH Yeah Baby...

the Purple Ribbon is HIGHEST honor you can get at Navajo county fair

BEST OF FAIR...

I could not believe it...

a few years ago I entered a bunch of projects

and did very well then too...

but never heard of a purple ribbon

Best of Fair

I know, right...

 

I have decided to enter these projects into the

Arizona State Fair...

we will see how I do against all the crafters in the

good ol'  state of Arizona...

so cross your fingers and toes...

the state fair starts in just a few weeks...

Oh I wish I lived closer to the State Fairgrounds...

I would love to see them there..

but 3 hours is not so close..

so I wont get to see them on display or

how they did at the State Fair until they return after the fair...

you see the State fair does an outreach program

they will pick up the projects for the Sate fair after

the county fair is over, and submit your projects for you...

very nice, huh...what a great way to encourage

more participation throughout the state...

 

I will try to remember to post the outcome at the state fair... 

I still can't believe I won that honor at the county fair...

 

well I best get busy making some more cool 3D projects and cards...

OMG, 400th Post...

Wowzers

What have I done?

I have made 400 posts on this blog...

wow, never would have imagined doing that when I started my blog...

I started my blog a few years back... November 18, 2009

as a family blog, to document my life and show my wonderful family

all the great things we do as a family...

 

Shortly after starting my blog I started to share my

projects I have made...than early 2011 I got more into it..

I started to share my creations as I have grown with my paper crafting......

 

I later became a design team member on a few different blogs...

I love it...

 

So it's a Happy day, for me to share with you my

400th post...

This is my project for the
Navajo County 2013 fair...

Pop'n in

Last night I went to a local crafting get to gather...

I WILL be going again next month...

it's too bad they don't do it every

Friday night...

 

Lots of fun, some food and lots of different crafting going on...

some were scrapbooking, some were making mini albums

and some even doing cross stitching...something I can not do...

and my buddy was putting some card kits together...

Oh what fun...

 

I cut out a few projects that I put together while I was there...

I made one just like this (same paper and all)

when the kit first came out...

I can't find the post that show's the last one...

maybe I did not post it...lol...

 

Oh well it's here now...heehee

but my mom claimed it before I could enjoy it...

It goes so well with last years father's day gift...

so had to make one for me to enjoy...heehee

 

It's just so darling the paper is so perfect for this project..

 

 

Cute huh...I might have posted this a while back but it's so cute

it's worth another post...lol

 

I added some bling to the spurs...

embossed the toe of the boot...

Challenge project for MFPaHc...

Weddings in the Air...

If it's not a wedding, then it's a mommy to be or new baby...

That's about all I see these days...lol

 

I was asked to make some wedding favors for a double wedding...

so I used the SVGCuts wedding svg kit

known as...Love Always SVG Kit

and made these darling boxes and filled them

with some mints...

 

Oh and I did the announcements too...

but totally forgot to get a good picture of them

before delivering them last weekend..

 

I did post this one and the next one on Instagram, that's why the picture look's like it does...

 

 

I stayed up Friday night into Saturday to get the announcements done...

I got maybe 3 hours of rest...stupid me...lol

...I am getting too old for that crap... 

 

I had to do the write up for a double wedding,

and I don't know the couples ... so that was a challenge,

but it all worked out...

  

With the wedding this Friday I knew that I had to get these done

this weekend...

so here are the wedding favors I made...

 

 

This is the complete order...

made 15 of each the bride/dress and 15 of the groom/tux

 

 

Pretty cute, huh...

the bows took the longest...but well worth it...

I used the Tweet Blessings Stamp Set for the sentiment

and SVGCuts for the Bird and Music notes...Spring Birdhouses SVG Kit

well it was so darling that I had to make this cute holder for them too

I found this card holder on Pinterest, 

then found the tutorial and said to myself...

you must make one of these...

It's pretty easy once you get the tutorial...

I really like how it turned out...

so I made 6 cards to put in it for a gift set...

the outside reads

'A little bird told me your big news'

and the inside says

'that little bird has a big mouth'

cute huh...

Boo To You...Blog Hop

These are some goodies I have prepared for my little Trick or Treaters tonight...

 This darling little Calderon is from a SVGCuts collection from last year... Party on Elm Street

Each of the candies are decorated...the suckers have googly eyes...

the candy bars have wrappers...

oh, how fun this was to take to work and show off...but they ate most of it...so I had to make more...

I love the added ribbon from Stampin' Up and the Epiphany embellishment with the spider,

oh how I hate spiders...

This next project is a wall hanging I put together...

I had every intention in hanging it in my entryway ..but it never made it there...lol...

so I will share it with you all...

I used a bunch of files to put the little witch together... if you look you can see a witches hat a the top and her legs hanging out the bottom... I have some of my very own original files along with some SVGcuts files and Silhouette America online store files...

This was a fun wall hanging to put together... the picture does it NO justice...

Ahoy matey, here is me project for this hop.

My dear darling husband loves loves loves Pirate anything. 

We rode the Pirate ride at Disneyland a dozen or more times the last time we were there...

Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirates life for me...

Oh I don't go a day without hearing that...lol

well with the new SVG kit that Mary from SVGCuts came out with just last week, 

Toil and Trouble

When I saw the apothecary jar, I know exactly what to make for this blog hop...

I choose to make it with gray AC Card stock and inked the edges of everything to give a worn out look...

I made it with most the parts in the kit, so it was pretty easy... I added some twine by doodle twine

I also used My Minds Eye card stock for the fancy orange colors. But all the rest is made using

AC Card stock... I used a Sizzix, cracked glass, embossing folder.

Here is a closer look at the cute custom embellishment, I made it with my new

handy dandy Epiphany 25 round Shape Studio tool...I love it,

I have found all kinds of things to use it for, you will see me using is more often...
