Chalk N Stock DT inspiration...

Hey if your here if the Hot Chocolate blog hop...
Please click here...
oh and thanks for stopping by...

Now on to my inspiring chalk n stock card...
Shop until you Drop

This card was kind of fun to put together...
I used the digi stamp from Bugaboo...
colored with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
and added star dust chalk to the white areas of her dress and hat...
and used sunshine color chalk to color in her hair...
I love how chalks can give such a nice color to your image without
making it 'too' much color...I highlighted the hair with an alcohol marker...
too cute huh...
oh yeah I used the marker tool by Amy Chomas with my Cameo for the
"Show until you Drop" sentiment...

Well go Shop until you Drop...only a few more days of shopping for
Christmas...

Remember  Chalk N Stock will be running this months
challenge for the WHOLE month of December...so you have lots of time to get your
chalk projects link'd up...

until next time...

Chalk Time...

Hey, it's time for a new challenge again...
Chalk N Stock has changed things up, again...lol
and it's going to be
for now...

So it should be pretty easy to just add some chalk to one of your projects...
it might be chalk ink, powdered chalk or cake chalk...you name it
chalk and link your project up and there you have it...
a challenge entry and a chance to win something cool...
most of the time we will have a sponsor...Bugaboo or like wise
There will always be something to give out to the winner !!!

This is my inspiration piece for you to get kick started on this week challenge

Anything goes...with Chalk

I colored my Bugaboo digi image with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
all but the wings...then came back with powdered chalk and added that to
the body and wings...I like how it colored the image just that little bit...
it softened the alcohol markers some how...I will have to try this a bit more,
cuz I like the out come...added a sentiment from Stamp'n up ...
added some ribbon and inked the edges of the printed digi papers...
not sure if it's Echo Park or Lori Whitlock or a combination there of...oops
sorry guys for not remembering where I got the digi paper from...
but it is really cute...

I hope I have inspired you to link your chalk project to
the Chalk N Stock Challenge for the next 2 weeks...
Planning ahead? well we will be doing challenges
each 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month...
so if you don't have one for this challenge,
be sure to make one for the future...
as there is no back linking
and you must be a follower to win...
really it's pretty simple...
I would love to see your hard work using chalk...

Good day to you all blogger fans

Today I have applied chalk directly to white card stock
I really love the Teddy Bear colored chalk
it's just a perfect color to go with
craft colored card stock...

The "Boo!" stamp is by Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich co
their new release this month...It's a darling stamp set...go check it out...

I am not sure exactly what this card truly is but I think it's pretty cute...
I have asked a few peps what they think it is...
well my made it too look like a mummy
but others think it looks like a little peeper behind a wall...
lol its cute no matter what they say...

It's Chalk Thursday!! New Challenge

There's a new challenge over at
I have but a few minutes to show you my inspiring projects...

This week we were lucky enough to have not 1 but 2 sponsors
for the
Remember it's any image and any chalk
but must be a follower and must use chalk
in someway in your project...

This digi stamp by Bugaboo just cracks me up every time I read it...
It's so funny...

This next one is me getting into the spirit of Halloween...
Oh am I in the spirit...
I have been making all kinds of Halloween themed projects,
and loving every minute...
It's kind of funny, I love to decorate for Halloween but I don't
really care for the meaning of Halloween...oh well
keep the spirit going with decorating for it...
maybe this year I will get more into decorating for other
holidays too...we will see

This stamp is by Riley Stamps

It's darling too...I don't know that I stayed with the humor but oh well
it's a cute stamp anyway...
The 'Trick or Treat' stamp is from one of my favorite company's
Punkin Patch Stamps...they also make all my wonderful SVG files that
I create from...oh I love Mary and Leo...what a neat couple...
I used chalk on both of these cards... on the 2nd card I used it
for the background and the moon..
for the first card I used it for her hair...
sneaky huh...lol...

Well off I go...you all have a wonderful fun filled day...

Let's Talk ...

... about Chalk ...
heehee
well you can add chalk to ANY project to give it a shine
or make it the background color or even color in the image with chalk
it's so awesome to play with ...
I get to play with it every week over at Chalk N Stock Challenge Blog
and we would like you to join us on the challenge each 2 weeks ...

I have a new card I created, it is NOT my original idea
I got it off YouTube but I did measure and create the cut file for it ...
as so I can cut it using my Cameo...I don't do scissors ... lol
Here is the card closed with the bakers twine band to keep the
gate fold card closed...
Now I start to open the card...
 a little more...
Now do you see the Magic...
The stamp is behind a hidden door...
yeah I think they called it the
Magic Card? oh no I don't remember... oops
oh well I spent lots of time to create a cut file for it...
and I love how it turned out...
Now to show how the chalk was used...
yep you guessed it...over the boots to 'wear' them out and
to make the sparkle...they have some teddy bear chalk then
stardust chalk over the tops...it's so hard to show you sometimes
how the chalk can add such a small addition to the project...
but I guess it's a trust issue...heehee...trust me it's there and it looks good...
Well I hope you have enjoyed my Magic Card today...I hope to make many more
of these cards...they are way fun...
If you are interested in the Studio file let me know and leave an email addy
I will try to email it out to those that request it...
I am not a pro at the whole create a file to share but I would love to share this one...

Chalk N Stock New Challenge ... Recycle/Re Purpose

So today starts a new chapter for
You see we have had such a great time...
we have decided to do the bi-weekly challenges on Thursdays

With that will be inspiration from the design team...
In fact we even added a new member to the design team...
Please help us welcome Nikki to the team...
We are so excited to have her a part of the team...

Well this challenge is all about Recycling...

so I had a hard time coming up with something...

but then....

I thought of a little trick to try..
AND it worked
so I will share it with you...

You know all the silly color brads that you get in a package,

and you think to yourself, will I EVER use THAT Color?

Hum so I got to thinking and thought that
Alcohol markers will stain just about anything
they come in contact with...

so...
I colored the brad the desired color, black
chalked my new white flowers...
yeah white...I got white cuz I can make them ANY color I want
with Chalk, Markers, Ink, just about anything will color them...

added the colored brad the the center of the flower

TADAH!!!
here is my  project...recycled/re purposed, improved brads

so do not waste the color brads you will never use..
recycle or re purpose them to something you will use...
I love it... what about you...

Jul 26, 2012

Oh my July is over !!!

Well almost that is...
this is  my last post for Chalk N Stock in July
our wonderful sponsor
It has been so fun to work with these great digi stamps...

It has been a
kind of month

the last of the bunch of get well cards I made for the month...
oh I just love how the alcohol markers makes me feel like an artist
I look back at my coloring that I have done and think
WOW that is pretty nice...
I used the chalks to mute the coloring on the outer frame
and of course used Startdust chalk to make it shine...
but that was not captured with the photo...
added some bling, and put it on a bright and fun color card
this is an A2 size card, like most of my cards are now days...heehee
I used the Silhouette America DE software to create the image to print
when doing that I added the 'Get Well' to print too...
the little sunflower on the upper right is also cut using my Cameo
then colored with alcohol markers
Easy Easy Easy
I hope you have enjoyed each of the creations I have brought to you
for the month of July...

More to come for August
we have a new sponsor and some exciting news to share
for the upcoming months...
but can't tell you just yet...

Chalk N Stock ~ Get Well

Again...

Hee hee
we are still on the same challenge
any Chalk
and
any Image

This month we are being sponsored by

I used a Sunflower digi stamp again this week...
I colored the image with my alcohol markers after printing it out
using the print and cut on my Cameo...
I like to put the image on the virtual mat when using digi stamps
this way I can have my Cameo cut the images...

I covered the colored image with startdust chalk
I also used Versa Mark and a sponge dauber to get the pokadot effect...
then used the chalk to color over the background... stamped my sentiment over that...
and whalah there you have a nice get well card with chalk
easy peasy... now it's your turn to use chalk and enter our challenge...
We are looking for more followers so please help us get our name out there...

GET WELL ~ in 'Chalk' Style

Today I have a get well card to share
with you all...
I created it for the Chalk N Stock Challenge Blog

This month we are being sponsored by:

we got some cute little digi files to work with...sunflowers...oh I just love them...
so I put these cute little digi files on the virtual mat in the Cameo program...
Designer Edition of Silhouette America
I traced the images and I also made them to size on the virtual mat...
I printed the images then colored them with the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
then used my Cameo to cut the images.
also used the Amy Chomas marker holder to 'draw' the titles...
so... Print and cut can be that easy...

after I had it all colored and cut out...
I took it to my 'misting' station...
a box with some paper towels in it...lol...
sprayed the finished images with water and Stardust chalk...
heat set to dry with the heat gun...
then added some twine...there you have my secret now....

Ok so its not just my secret but I wanted you to know how I make my cards...
be sure to be careful when spraying the water and chalk mix not to get
too much water...maybe mix with 70% Alcohol (or higher) and chalk ...
that way the makers/coloring wont run as bad...just an idea...I will have to try it when I need to make my next batch of spray...

Get Well

Just use CHALK and enter this month challenge over at
Hope to see you there...
