Add Some Sparkle to Your Baby Card

Hey it's Monday...
do you have any fun plans for the week
It's going to be a good week for me
not sure why I just feel that it's a good one...
well add some sparkle to your card
this is the challenge at
it's challenge # 78.
I found this really cool technique
while playing on YouTube
Thanks to DoStamping she shows
this great technique in a video tutorial...
It works just perfect for what I was doing
on this weeks challenge at FOSTV
This is what I came up with...
Do you see the sparkle?
it's the ducky's little wings...
I added some yellow Stickles to the stamped image
it's a darling border stamp by MFPaHc...
'Oh Baby Stamp Set'
Now for the cool technique...
see the gingham
yeah that is the technique I was talking about...
it's so fun, you use the
strip embossing folder
ink the embossing folder using a brayer
lay your cardstock in the embossing folder with ink
run that through your die cut/embossing machine
now ink the embossing folder again with a different color
turn your cardstock 90 degrees from where the lines are now
emboss it again...
be very careful in doing this
you will get ink EVERYWHERE...
but it's so darn worth it...
I love the colors I used on this card..
I did a red and blue card too...
you will get to see that later
Ok, now your turn to add sparkle to your card,
use any stamps but if you use MFPaHc stamps
your project counts as 2...
what a deal...
be sure to check out the other
design team members blogs for some
great inspiration...
that's about it for now
Hope you all have a wonderful week

  1. Love the background you created - might have to think about what embossing folders I have that might work with 2 colours of ink. The ducks look cute and I am sure in real life you can see the sparkle better than on screen!

  2. Your card is so cute and I like the idea with the folder and the Stickles.

  3. How cute is this! I love your little baby card and the sweet gingham technique!
