DtsArt Designer Project, Growin Flower Album....

Ok, as you can see I got my camera to get a few pictures, for now this is what I am going to get...

Well I just took a few pictures of this album cuz I didn't want to overwhelm the post with pictures. This file has 13 pages, with each page an new petal appears. I decided to take this file and make it in to an album for my daughter.

The cover is page 1...then page 2 is January, its got a tag or something like that on one side and a place to put a picture on the other side of the album...

I have just a few pages that I liked best to show you....



The tag comes out of the top of the bird house....





the sand with flip flops on it slides/pivits away for Journaling
in June






the Popcicle comes out of the wrapper for the Journaling something special for August.

ugh!!!

Ok so I went to take pictures of my new DtsArts Design Team Project, and yeah my extremely expensive digital camera that my hubby got for his birthday last year(but it was really for me and my projects), well anyway. All was good, I set the stage and put the camera on the tripod, and it made this really bad sound. I could not get it to focus...it just wont work...so I took it to the darling hubby and asked him what was wrong with 'my' camera. Come to find out it had dropped a few weeks ago, well since I last posted pictures, and it BROKE. He thinks its only the auto focus lens, but that means I have to buy a new lens and all that before I can post pictures again. Well, I might be able to find my daughters camera in the messy room, but I am not sure. I am sooo sad over this, I just cant go on. But anyway, I will be posting pictures again, but I just don't know when. So please come back a check out my boring blah blah sad story until I get a new lens I just have to share with you my ideas, yeah thats it...lol ok really I will try to get back and up soon. Life has thrown a big kink in my crafting style, my hubby got a job (after 2+ yrs of looking) and well its shift work and weekends and all that, but its a job and its a 'good' state job but he has to commute 1 hour each way, so needless to say, I am trying to keep him in good spirits.

So, I made these great ATC's for the svgcuts.com forum and I made them too bulky and I just know they are going to cost me an arm and a leg to send them but....I just love how they turned out, oh and you don't get to see them unless you are one of my lucky ladies to get one...

With that blah blah blah being said, I will keep you posted on my camera situation, I hope to post soon, I love my blog and I love my followers, so don't leave now...I promise I WILL BE BACK.

I know I know....Its been awhile

Hey, I know its been over a week since my last post, but life as tossed me on my butt...I mean got gives us only what we can handle right? well....I am at my wits end right now...hubby started a new job, good thing has been out of work for 2+ yrs now but...... its all kind of weird days and hours and such...I don't know how we will do this, but we will...I have been getting up at 4 am with him and sending him off to work...then I get a chance to craft til I go to work at 8 .... so I have some things to show off soon, but for right now, I just wanted my followers to know that I am really trying to get used to a new life and I hope to jump back into the swing of my blog posting... I can now stop the 2nd job that started 3 weeks ago and now have some time again, but I will miss my darling hubby dearly...we are best of friends... and I love him to pieces...blah blah...

so anyway, I did not have a chance to show off all of my all jacked up projects so I will try to get the last one done and posted in the next day or so...its really cool, I say so myself...it has to do with stamps and storage...you will just have to come back and see for yourself and let me know what you think of it...
Thanks for following me and keeping me encouraged to keep this blog going...I love seeing that people stop by each day, to see my stuff...so I NEED new things on here, I know.... coming soon...oh and SVGCUTS.com had this really great sale this last weekend, 25% off and I went hay wire...I have almost all the sets they have to offer, and love everyone of them...so jump on over to their site and check them out...Mary and Leo rock!!!
And yeah I made fathers day cards and just plumb forgot to take pictures before sending them off...oh well I guess I can ask for them back, lol...

Oh yeah... nexts weeks Design team project is sooooo cool, you will have to come see it...its taking me 2 weeks to work on and I will be posting it next tuesday....can't wait to show it off...

New Design Team SVG project

So this weeks project is something for Daddy...I put this little thing together pretty quick. I used an old frame and cut some designer paper, then put the SVG of  'Worlds Best Dad' from DtsArt. You can hop on over to the DieCut Designer . Dardi's work is so much fun to work with...she always has a good cut file...So with that being said... here is my creation for the week....

As Promised...Another 'All Jacked up' Project

Hey everybody, I hope you are having fun on this blog hop!!!! its nice short and sweet and there are some really cute projects... I really want to hit 100 followers today, do you think you can make it happen...I will send out something special to one of my followers, don't know yet what that is but I have lots that I could give out. So anyway what do you think of the twine holder? I think it will be really nice for that crafting twine that's out there, I just have to get my hands on some of that stuff.

For my 2nd project, I was inspired by my new online friend. I had never been introduced to Misting Sprays until I went to her house. Wow, I love love love them now. The possibilities are endless, well as long as you have the paint to make them. Oh I am getting ahead of my self...sorry

I took this old spice rack and turned it into a "Misting Machine"... not really a machine but a holder.
I got a little obsessed with making this misting stuff, here is how I made my misting spray (I could not see spending $7-$8 on the name brand misting sprays) there are many ways of doing this and I found that I like this way the best...



got this for a $1.00 at Goodwill



Take a small spray bottle put about 1/2 to 2/3 full of water, drop in a little bit of crafting paint(any color you wish) and I put white glue or some Mod Podge, it does not take much. Now for the secret ingredient ... I put in some metallic paint, either silver or gold or Pearl, this is the step I like the most cuz it makes my spritz just cool... so if you have any questions about this project just drop me a note and I can help you... I also tried hair spray with the water and paint, oh yeah you do need to blast it with a bit of heat from a heat gun as to set the paint and not warp the project....

OK, so I also took some vinyl and dressed up the spice rack and made a box for the top, to hold the bottles that did not fit right...with that said the bottles that I found fit the best you can get from the Dollar Tree, they come in a 3 pack of different bottles so you get 1 or 2 spritzing bottles with other small bottles and I just used those other bottles to fill in the gap and I can always switch out the caps when needed...




Put it all together!!!

I all started with a bit of frosting...






So I found this laying around the house, cuz I seem to colect all kinds of containers of different sizes. I just cant see filling our land fill with something that I might be able to make something with...

I decided I needed (right, need nothing, lol) to make something to hold the ball of twine that I bought at the dollar store. This cotton twine, I like to call it anyway, has many handy uses... I can't even name them all.... so

 With a bit of ribbon and some paper I came up with this.....

Not all of them are perfect...lol

The lid can come off to change
product inside...

Sting not poking out on this picture oops...

 What do you think? Handy Idea, I know...lol... no really you could do this for ribbon as well just make the hole to fit the size you need....and maybe make a bigger can/jar with multiple twine/yarn/ribbon/string... and just have it coming out the same hole or even different holes...how fun is that...I just might have to do one like that next...
