Successful Workshop Yesterday....

OMG, wow
that's about what I have to say about yesterdays workshop

we have a local Stampin' Up Rep that does a monthly workshop
We pay $10 and get to make 2 of each 4 cards
Yesterday was so much fun
as I was the hostess of the mostest...lol...
No really I was just there to have a good time
I did not think many peps would buy
as it's not yet time to buy for those Christmas cards...

so anyway I made a few of the
Witches Hats and Broom Sticks

That is a FREE SVG file over at
Mary and Leo ... you have done a great job ...
as I always say
this is wonderful...
The sentiments are by
Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Co
they have a few new stamps to look forward too...so keep your eyes open for those projects...

Here are some more pictures of the hats and brooms that I made

I made 15 hats and 12 broom sticks...

Are they not just the cutest...they have a dum dum sucker in the middle
of each the Witches hat and the broom stick...
the hat is an SVG file and must be cut using an electronic
die cut machine but the broom sticks are just an easy peasy
thing to put together...a little time and some patience you too
can have some broom sticks to give those special trick or treaters

To make the broom sticks take the crepe paper streamer stuff
the roll, you know what I am talking about right...
OK, then cut a length of about 12 inches off
at about every 1/8 inch cut a slit almost to the end,
you will learn by trial and error what works best for your broom
but then when you have it all 'frayed' for a better word then
tape or glue one end with the solid end just above the suckers top,
not the end of the stick, just above the sucker with the 'frade' end down
I used dum dum suckers cuz they are cheap and you get tons
but this would work for just about any sucker...
start wrapping...you want to keep it kind of loose again trial and error
then when all wrapped up tape the end closed to itself...
straighten the broom stuff down and tie a ribbon, twine, or
like I did a piece of yarn to look like the broom
add a tag with a sentiment or just leave it plain,
I also added a piece of ribbon to the top of the sucker/broom
and that was cute too...it was the ribbon that said
'Happy Halloween'
just taped to the other end of the sucker...

Well back to my story about the workshop, heehee
at the end of the workshop the hostess, just like hosting a party gets
goodies...well I got a goodie bag before the party began
from the Rep and boy was it full of fun stuff too...
but anyway again not thinking much of the money part
I knew I had a few items of interest but maybe only be able
to get a few cuz the party would not get much...
well I was WRONG
those peps spent alot of money...
alot to the point I got
2 items at half off
and $80 of Hostess money...
so my few items turned into EVERYTHING
I wanted and even more...I was banging my head
trying to wrap up the workshop and pick my goodies...
so anyway I just wanted to say thanks to all the
great people that made it to the workshop
and to buying what supplies you needed.
What a fun surprise that was...
I was told to plan for about 10 peps
and there were 15 that showed up

oh wow long story...
Thanks for the GREAT workshop Bernice
your awesome too...
and thank you to my dear friend Linda for
driving 1 1/2 hours to come to my party...you rock...
Here are the cards/projects we made at the workshop...
Great job Bernice to for wonderful ideas you give us each month...

What a fun day...
Well I will see you all tomorrow with a new
Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich co Project...

TTFN!!!
