Hey Friends of Speedy TV...

Let's Distress...

heehee
Distressing is our challenge this week

So I had so much fun distressing this map
I first stamped the image on to some vellum
then took a lighter, yeah I thought I might set the house on fire with this one...
but I did not...heehee...good thing huh...ROFL...

you can see that I took the lighter underneath the vellum and burned
other areas to give it more of the distressed image...
I then crumbled it up in a ball then laid it out flat.
I used Xyron to adhere it to the card base
that was also distressed with a distressing tool and some
ink to the edges...
I cut the compass with my Cameo
oh and stamped the ship on vellum too then fussy cut it...
a few stamps from the same stamp collection

'Buried Treasure'

and here I have another
Distressed card...

I used core'dinations card stock and an embossing folder
sanded and rolled up the corner...
added a little stamp and a die cut spider
oh how I hate spiders...lol...

Now it's your turn to win this...

  6. woohoo! You are so brave, taking a lighter to your velum!!! We had similar ideas of burning our maps!!! Very clever burning places in the map...I didn't think of that!!! Terrific spider card too!

  8. Love these great distressed cards! I can't believe you took a lighter to vellum. I'm shocked that it burned and didn't melt! Great look though!!
