SO fitting for what happened the last few days...

I am a bit late in posting my

Tutorial Time on Speedy TV

because of the RUFF days I had...

For starters my darling hubs decided to upgrade my computer

to Windows 8, no problem until he had to do 

a 'clean' install...and yeah I lost EVERYTHING...

but he stayed up all night on his weekend and

fixed it for me and was able to restore I would say

90% of what I use everyday...

and the rest is just well.....you know 

everything is fixable....lol

so anyway...

Then I had my 1st workshop yesterday

that was pretty stressful too...

Fantastic Dog Stamp Set

we had to do what's called 

Crayon Resist...

totally awesome...

you take a light colored Crayon

and color where you want it to remain the color of your card stock

then rub your ink right over it and you get this great look...

Creative Uses for Ribbon...

How can you use ribbon in a non traditional way?

for me I put together this card using ribbon...

It's like the hing to the card...

then it opens or falls down to this...

This was a Splitcoaststampers tutorial

today I share with you a technique that

 The Thrifty Stamper showed us in this weeks tutorial...

Packing Tape Transfer Tutorial

She shows us how to take a laser printed image...

a copy of a photo, a cereal box, advertising junk mail...

something that the ink will not run when you put it into water...

so I took this picture a few years back of a rose that was 

in my front yard...

the colors are just so beautiful, I think anyway...

the camera really captured a beautiful rose

so now on to the tutorial part of this post...lol

after much trouble getting it to print laser, thanks to my dh...luv ya man...

we he printed the photo...

I followed the tutorial,

you will have to read it to find out how I made it..

so back to my card...

I used the 

Cracked Hello Stamp Set

and stamped the background under the photo...

placed my new transparent photo over the stamped background.

I added some DCWV card stock, some ribbon from the stash...

oh and I used the butterfly from that same stamp set for an accent.

The sentiment is from the Autumn Friendships Mini Stamp Set

 I got the stamp set in a card

swap at MFPSpeedTV swaps...for FREE...

so maybe this should be my new years resolution, along with

Well I took a new stamp set (Sneak Peak) from Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co

'No Sour Grapes'

and a cut file from Silhouette America

to create this little charm...

added some ribbon with a bow...

now how easy was that...really

I must remember it does not take much to just drop that little note

that says 'thank you'

It's a MyGrafico Monday Challenge Post...

This week I decided to show you a couple of  neat freebies MyGrafico has to offer...

I used 2 of them to create this darling purse card...

SVG Purse Invitation Card by Shery K Designs
&
Love Bug Clipart by Sanqunetti Design

I used my Cameo to cut the SVG file...
you need the Designer Edition of Silhouette America to
allow to cut svg files...or you can use SCAL or MTC, too....
but with Silhouette America DE I opened the purse svg file...
then added the digi paper to it...using the print and cut feature
that this program has to offer, I love it so much...
I traced the clip art in order for the Cameo to cut the little bug out too...
added some wire, that I curled around a stick to make it curly...
added a paper bow from Silhouette America online store...

Well, like I said I had fun with this card...

made me think of my sister...luv ya Mel...

I used the Oh Beans stamp set...

doing the triple stamp technique with a bit of a twist...

as long as you line up your papers right, it's pretty easy to do this...

Mak'n Memories Happen....

Happy New Year...

to all my friends in blogger world...

what a nice way to bring in the new year...

I stayed home in my pjs with the family...

I did some crafting and was warm...lol

Well I did do a really cool project...

I saw this idea on Pinterest a while back...

and knew I wanted to start a family tradition of this...

You take a jar and throughout the year you add little messages about 

good things that happened or good memories...

I thought this would be so fun...

so I took it a step further and made my own custom jar...

Added some purple and pink vinyl circles...

thinking about adding white, what do you think?

well then I added a Chalkboard Vinyl to the lid so I can put the 

current year in chalk...but I need a chalk stick to do that with....lol

on my need list now...heehee

then I was talking to a friend online and she threw out the idea to 

add ribbon and a pen and maybe some tags that can come off the ribbon easy, 

but I thought a small not pad would work better.

so added some ribbon and a pretty pen and a custom note pad...

and there you have my 

Mak'n Memories Happen Jar...
